Job summary

Goodwin Recruiting is seeking an IT Support Technician for a restaurant technology-focused role. The position combines on-site and remote IT support across multi-unit quick-service operations, with emphasis on uptime during peak times and strong collaboration with restaurant teams.

Qualifications

• 1–3+ years of IT support, networking, POS support or related experience.
• Hands-on experience installing, configuring and troubleshooting POS systems.
• Restaurant experience strongly preferred, especially QSR or multi-unit operations.

• Provide remote and on-site IT support for restaurant and corporate teams.
• Troubleshoot POS, KDS, online ordering, payment systems, computers, printers and restaurant hardware.
• Diagnose network and connectivity issues, including IP addressing, Wi-Fi, VLANs, firewalls and failover.
• Support Microsoft 365, user accounts, permissions, onboarding and offboarding.
• Support POS menu configuration, pricing, modifiers, routing and 86ing across ordering channels.
• Troubleshoot integrations between ordering, payment and kitchen systems.
• Train restaurant teams and coordinate with outside vendors when necessary.
• Assist with new restaurant openings, technology installations, testing and system rollouts.
• Identify recurring issues and implement long-term solutions.

IT Support Technician – Restaurant Technology

We are seeking a hands-on IT Support Technician to support technology across a growing multi-unit quick-service restaurant organization. This role combines on-site restaurant support with remote troubleshooting and systems administration.

Restaurant experience is highly valued. You should understand why a POS or kitchen display going down during a lunch rush requires a very different response than a routine support ticket.

What You'll Do

What We're Looking For

• 1–3+ years of IT support, networking, POS support or related experience.
• Hands-on experience installing, configuring and troubleshooting POS systems.
• Restaurant experience strongly preferred, especially QSR, fast-casual or multi-unit operations.
• Understanding of restaurant workflows from order entry through kitchen routing, payment and reporting.
• Working knowledge of networking, Microsoft 365 and remote support tools.
• Strong troubleshooting and communication skills.
• Comfortable working hands-on in restaurants and traveling between locations.
• Valid driver's license and ability to provide occasional after-hours/weekend support.
