Job summary

Union-Agener seeks an IT Helpdesk professional to provide 24/7 expert support and local helpdesk services in a manufacturing setting. You will deploy and support workstations and IT equipment, manage phones, and back up network/server administration.

Ideal candidates have a Bachelor's in CS or Business Admin with at least 2 years of Microsoft environment experience, plus strong communication, teamwork, and organizational skills to operate across levels of the plant.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in CS or Business Administration
• Minimum 2 years in computer field with direct workstation/laptop support in a Microsoft environment
• Excellent verbal and written communication tailored to audience
• Ability to work across all levels in a manufacturing environment
• Good planning, organization and prioritizing skills
• Strong teamwork and ability to drive action plans
• Knowledge of computer systems and software applications including Microsoft Office

Minimum Qualification (Education, Experience and/or Training, Required Certifications):

Education:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science/Business Administration

Experience:

• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in computer field with direct support of workstations and laptops in a Microsoft environment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills tailored to the appropriate audience
• Ability to work well at all levels within the organization, comfortable in a manufacturing environment
• Good interpersonal skills, planning, organization and prioritizing are essential.
• Team building skills, along with the ability to facilitate action plans.
• Must have knowledge of computer systems and software applications, including Microsoft Office applications

Additional Preferences:

• This position must provide hands‑on support to all plant personnel in a 24/7 work environment and be on call to provide “over the phone” or “on site” support and direction.
• Must be able to travel to all areas of the plant which may include walking, climbing various levels of stairs or ladders, at various floor levels in various buildings as well as the exterior of the building.
