Job summary

APL Federal Credit Union is seeking an IT Support Specialist to manage daily operations of the core processing system, build and maintain workstations, and provide in-house technical support for staff. The position reports to the VP of IT/CIO and is non-exempt, with typical weekday hours and potential on-site needs at multiple branches.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED plus knowledge of operating systems and software; at least 1 year of PC and server support experience.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or GED; thorough knowledge of operating systems and software applications.
• Experience: Minimum 1 year of PC and network server support in a networked environment.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of the core processing system and provide end-user IT support.
• Prepare and complete daily checklist; verify End of Day; process shares and data items.
• Assist in installation, setup, and maintenance of computer systems and network equipment.
• Support hardware/software inventories and maintain IT procedures documents.
• Collaborate with VP/ CIO on IT department operations and improvements.
• Maintain information security and assist with special projects as assigned.
