Job summary

Turning Point Ministries is seeking an IT Support Technician in Lakeside, CA. You will provide responsive end-user support across Windows/macOS, Microsoft 365, and network services, while maintaining documentation and security compliance.

The role requires 3+ years of hands-on experience, strong communication, and a readiness to lift equipment and travel locally as needed. Competitive hourly wages with full benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of independent hands-on end-user IT support experience.
• Experience supporting Windows 11 and macOS.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft 365 administration and troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with Active Directory accounts and group administration.
• Working knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, Wi‑Fi, and VPN fundamentals.
• Experience troubleshooting laptops, desktops, printers, mobile devices, and peripherals.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Demonstrated customer service and problem-solving skills.
• Highly organized, ability to prioritize multiple requests and resolve issues in a fast-paced environment.
• Exceptional attention to detail and confidentiality.
• Ability to learn and apply new technology tools and resources.
• Self-motivated, proactive, and accountable.
• Ability to lift and move equipment up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to travel locally and occasionally out-of-state; valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Own assigned help desk tickets from creation through resolution with updates and documented steps.
• Diagnose and resolve end-user issues across Windows and macOS, including hardware and software.
• Troubleshoot printer, scanner, and multi-function device issues.
• Independently troubleshoot issues by gathering information, researching, testing, and escalating when needed.
• Escalate complex issues with notes and logs to the appropriate IT team.
• Follow IT security policies and escalate security concerns as needed.
• Build, configure, deploy and troubleshoot Windows and macOS endpoints.
• Maintain asset records for devices and peripherals.
• Manage user accounts and access across AD, M365, and MDM.
• Support moves/adds/changes and basic VoIP troubleshooting with vendors.
• Keep knowledge-base documentation up to date.
• Duties may be modified by management as needed.
