Job summary

CAL IT Group is a growing MSP providing proactive IT support to clients in Laguna Niguel and surrounding areas. The Technical Support Specialist will install, upgrade, and troubleshoot hardware and software, and will communicate clearly with end users to resolve issues efficiently.

This role emphasizes on-site and remote support, with opportunities to learn new technologies in a fast-paced environment and to participate in after-hours on-call rotations as needed.

Qualifications

• 4-Year College Degree or equivalent experience in a similar position.
• Microsoft 365 / Azure Management.
• VMware experience is a plus.
• At least 1 moderate level certification (e.g. Microsoft, CompTIA).
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong troubleshooting and critical thinking; ability to multitask.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
• Willingness to participate in after-hours on-call rotation.

Responsibilities

• Provide Windows, Mac, mobile device, cloud application support (e.g. Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, etc.).
• Troubleshoot network connectivity issues, install operating systems & applications, system imaging and system migration.
• Setup and train users with required applications and hardware.
• Resolve issues for clients remotely and in-person.
• Assist with regular proactive monitoring of client backup & data recovery operations.
• Track customer issues and resolutions with using our ticketing system.
• Build rapport with clients.
