Job summary

Bierman Autism Centers is seeking an IT Support Specialist to join its growing team of IT professionals. This hands-on role covers first-contact and advanced support for staff, solving most issues on your own and escalating only when needed.

You will maintain our ITSM platform (Freshservice) and device management with Microsoft Intune and Apple Business Manager, while ensuring HIPAA data protection and secure operations across Windows, macOS, iPadOS, and Chromebooks.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in an IT support or help desk role with hands-on troubleshooting.
• Experience managing or supporting devices via a central management tool; Intune/ABM preferred.
• Familiar with Freshservice or similar ITSM platform and ticket workflows.
• Knowledge of Entra ID/Active Directory; Google Workspace a plus.
• Experience supporting macOS/iPadOS; basic networking knowledge.
• Certifications preferred: CompTIA A+ or MD-102.
• HIPAA-regulated environment experience is a plus.
• Strong communication skills for non-technical staff.
• Education: HS diploma; higher IT degrees preferred.
• On-site role at HQ with occasional center visits; standard full-time hours.

Responsibilities

• Intake and triage: log, categorize, and prioritize tickets; resolve common issues on first contact.
• Troubleshooting: diagnose and fix hardware, software, account, and connectivity issues across Windows, macOS, iPadOS, and Chromebooks.
• Device setup: enroll/configure/deploy devices via Intune and ABM; manage repairs and wipes.
• Onboarding/offboarding: set up accounts/equipment for new hires; wipe devices for departures.
• ITSM platform support: maintain templates, service catalog, workflows; report ticket volume/trends.
• Asset management: keep hardware/software inventory accurate in ITSM.
• Identity/access: manage password resets, MFA, and license changes in Entra ID and Google Workspace.
• Security/compliance: enforce encryption, patching, and HIPAA procedures for lost/stolen devices.
• Knowledge management: create and maintain KB articles and self-service guides.
• On-site tech support: printers, phones, conference room equipment, and basic network connectivity.
• Escalation: route infrastructure issues to senior IT staff with full documentation.
