Job summary

Prelude Services is seeking an IT Support Specialist to deliver on-site and remote technical assistance across client sites in the Greenville, PA area. The role focuses on maintaining desktops, mobile devices, peripherals, and basic network infrastructure while traveling regionally as needed.

Ideal candidates have at least two years of desktop support experience, strong customer service skills, and the ability to work independently.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years of experience in desktop support or equivalent schooling.
• Knowledge of desktop architecture, mobile devices, and printers.
• Experience supporting Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office in a business environment.
• Basic understanding of wired/wireless networking and server topology.
• Frequent travel to client locations, overnight if necessary.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site or remote technical assistance to troubleshoot issues and maintain client computer systems.
• Install, diagnose, repair, maintain, and upgrade hardware or software to ensure optimal performance.
• Support telecommunications, applications, server and network infrastructure as needed.
• Train end users and provide general IT support across multiple client sites.

Position Summary

We are seeking an IT Support Specialist who thrives with regional day travel, enjoys building relationships with clients at several work sites, and is comfortable with working independently. The IT Support Specialist’s role is to support and maintain client computer systems, mobile devices, and peripherals. This includes installing, diagnosing, repairing, maintaining, and upgrading all hardware or software while ensuring optimal device performance. The IT Support Specialist will provide on-site or remote technical assistance to troubleshoot problem areas in a timely and accurate fashion, and provide end-user training or general assistance where required. They are also responsible for providing basic on-site telecommunications, applications, server and network infrastructure support.

Requirements

1. Minimum of two years of experience, or equivalent schooling in desktop support and configuration, or other relevant experience.
2. General knowledge of desktop architecture, mobile devices, and printers.
3. Experience supporting and troubleshooting Windows Operating Systems and Microsoft Office Suite in a business environment.
4. General understanding of wired/wireless networking and server topography.
5. Frequent travel to client locations as required, overnight if necessary.
6. Strong focus on end-user customer service and satisfaction.
7. Effective written, oral and interpersonal communication skills.
8. Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
