Job summary

Unclassified in Brooklyn, NY is seeking an IT Support Specialist for hands-on, on-site work, imaging laptops, troubleshooting scanners, and ensuring new hires have desks prepped before day one.

You will split time between office support, warehouse tech, and day-to-day hardware management, deploying, provisioning, and maintaining devices and peripherals while keeping inventory and onboarding logistics running smoothly.

Responsibilities

• Hardware Deployment & Support
• Image, set up, configure, and roll out workstations, laptops, and peripherals
• Provide in-person desk-side support for office and sales staff
• Resolve walk-up and floor issues directly on-site rather than queuing them
• Warehouse & Device Fleet Management
• Support scanners, mobile devices, label printers, and terminals on the warehouse floor
• Manage the device fleet (PDAs, scanners, tablets) including provisioning, charging stations, spares pool, breakage replacement, and APK deployment
• Maintain shipping station technology scales, thermal printers, carrier software, and workstation upkeep at pack-out
• Inventory & Lifecycle Management
• Maintain hardware inventory including asset records, physical audits, assignment tracking, and warranties
• Handle the full equipment lifecycle: receiving, staging, storage, decommissioning, and secure wipe
• Prepare onboarding logistics desk, workstation, phone, and peripherals ready before day one, plus a first-day systems walkthrough

About the Role

This is a hands‑on, on‑site IT role for someone who thrives on solving problems in person whether that means imaging a new laptop, troubleshooting a scanner on the warehouse floor, or making sure a new hire's desk is fully set up before they walk in. You'll be the go‑to person for anything that requires physical presence, splitting time between office support, warehouse tech, and day‑to‑day hardware management.
