Job summary

JAMHI Health & Wellness, Inc. is seeking a mission-driven IT Support Specialist to serve as the primary onsite technology resource. Under supervision, you’ll support end-user devices, workplace systems, and daily IT operations to help the organization deliver its services.

You will troubleshoot with staff, our MSP, and vendors, while assisting onboarding and offboarding and maintaining inventory. Strong communication and service orientation are essential.

Qualifications

• 2 years in a help desk, desktop support, or related IT role.
• Basic understanding of Wi-Fi, TCP/IP, VPN connectivity, and cable/device troubleshooting.
• Education can be substituted with relevant work experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide frontline IT support to JAMHI employees and contractors.
• Maintain end-user devices and standard workplace technology.
• Support Microsoft 365 and workplace systems; assist onboarding/offboarding.
• Troubleshoot issues with internal staff, MSP, and vendors.
• Maintain technology inventory and document service requests; communicate clearly.

Join us as an IT Support Specialist and play a key role in supporting JAMHI employees and the technology that helps our organization deliver quality services. Under the supervision of the Director of Information Systems and Analytics, you will serve as our primary onsite technology resource, providing front-line support, maintaining end-user devices and workplace technology, and supporting the day-to-day technology operations.

You will work closely with JAMHI staff, our contracted IT service provider, and technology vendors to troubleshoot issues, coordinate technology deployments, support Microsoft 365 and workplace systems, and assist with employee onboarding and offboarding. You will provide responsive and professional support for hardware, software, printing, connectivity, business applications, conference room technology, and other workplace technology needs while communicating technical information in a clear and user-friendly manner. You will also maintain technology inventory, document service requests, and identify opportunities to improve technology services and processes.

Minimum Qualifications

• Work experience in information technology can substitute for education on a year for year basis.
• Two years of help desk, desktop support, technical support, or a related IT support role
• Basic understanding of networking concepts such as Wi-Fi, TCP/IP, VPN connectivity, and cable/device troubleshooting.

Preferred Qualifications

• Comp TIAA A+, Network+, or similar entry-level IT certification.
• Experience working with or alongside a managed Service Provider (MSP)
• Prior experience in healthcare

Pay rates offered are determined based on a standardized scale that considers relevant experience and education .

All JAMHI positions require the ability to pass a criminal background check in accordance with the current state regulation requirements and a valid Alaska driver’s license and be able to clear the JAMHI auto insurance screening through the independent insurance carrier if driving.
