Job summary

Holy Family Institute in Allegheny County seeks an IT support specialist to provide daily technical assistance for Nazareth Prep and programs. You will reimage and restore devices, manage inventory, and help with account access and AV setup for events.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide daily technical support to employees/students and programs, prioritizing the needs of Nazareth Prep.
  • Reimage and restore malfunctioning devices to ensure optimal performance.
  • Track, manage, and maintain accurate inventory of all technology equipment.
  • Reset student passwords and assist with account access issues.
  • Set up and support audio-visual (AV) equipment for agency events, including Nazareth Prep functions.
  • Support Nazareth Prep students with Google Workspace applications and related technology tools.
  • Troubleshoot, repair, or replace student-issued devices as needed.
  • Maintain accurate records of student and staff technology assets.
  • Provide responsive, professional technical support to end users across all programs.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and operational issues in a timely manner.
  • Manage and maintain computer systems, ensuring proper functionality and security.
  • Oversee equipment inventory, including issuing, tracking, and auditing technology assets.
  • Prepare, configure, and deploy student laptops for each academic year.
  • Assist with telecommunications support, including phone system transitions and mobile device distribution.
  • Support the Director of IT with internal projects, system improvements, and technical initiatives.
  • Respond promptly to user inquiries and provide clear, effective communication.
  • Attend required meetings, trainings, and school-based technology sessions.
  • Assist faculty and staff with integrating and effectively using technology to support instruction and operations.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality when handling sensitive organizational, staff, or student data.
  • Demonstrate cultural competency, professionalism, and respect in all interactions.
  • Complete required agency and regulatory training within established timelines.
  • Collaborate effectively with staff, students, families, service providers, and community partners.
  • Report any legal or background-related changes in compliance with agency policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Perform additional duties and special projects assigned by the supervisor.
Requirements
  • High School diploma and working towards an IT related certificate.
  • Strong understanding of basic technology skills and security for Microsoft, Google Admin Platforms and Mac.
  • Knowledge of troubleshooting hardware and software.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Must have Act 33/34 and FBI clearances and valid PA driver’s license.
  • Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards.
  • Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards.
  • Ability to lift or push a minimum of 20 lbs. by themselves or up to 50 lbs. with the assistance of others.
  • Must be able to talk, listen and speak clearly in person/ on telephone.
