Rune Technologies is seeking an IT Support Engineer to join our growing team. You will work with the IT Manager to support employees across the company and maintain the systems, devices, and infrastructure that keep our business running.

This role is ideal for someone with a strong IT support background who wants to expand into systems administration and IT operations. The successful candidate will gain experience across endpoint management, identity, networking, security, and cloud

Qualifications

• 2+ years in IT support, Help Desk, Desktop Support, or IT Operations.
• Experience administering Microsoft 365, including Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, and user management.
• Experience supporting macOS devices in a business environment.
• Familiarity with MDM solutions for endpoint administration.
• Networking fundamentals: TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPNs, wireless networking.
• Understanding firewall concepts and network security principles.

Responsibilities

• Provide Tier 1 and Tier 2 technical support for employees across Windows and macOS environments.
• Provision, configure, deploy, and troubleshoot laptops, desktops, mobile devices, and peripherals.
• Manage user accounts, licensing, and security policies within Microsoft 365.
• Support identity and access management, including Okta, MFA, and Single Sign-On.
• Assist with endpoint management using MDM platforms, including macOS device management.
• Monitor and maintain endpoint compliance, software deployments, and security configurations.
• Perform hardware inventory management, asset tracking, and lifecycle management.
• Troubleshoot networking issues including Wi‑Fi, VPN, DNS, DHCP, and endpoint connectivity.
• Assist with firewall administration, network security best practices, and connectivity troubleshooting.
• Support SaaS application administration, onboarding, and offboarding processes.
• Create and maintain IT documentation, SOPs, and knowledge base articles.
• Participate in security initiatives including patch management and endpoint protection.
• Escalate complex issues while maintaining communication with end users.
• Assist with IT projects, infrastructure improvements, and process automation.
