Job summary

The Assistant Director, Space and Facilities leads the daily operations of the space and facilities management team for the Kirk Kerkorian School of Medicine at UNLV and UNLV Health. She/he supervises staff across 14 locations, ensures projects run on time, and manages expenditures within approved budgets.

This role requires a Bachelor’s degree and several years of facilities/operations and supervisory experience, with strong writing and communication skills to coordinate with multiple

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university.
• 3–5 years of facilities or operations experience.
• 2–4 years of supervisory or management experience over multidisciplinary staff and contractors.
• Experience supervising an administrative department implementing state and federal regulations.
• Exceptional writing, communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily operations of space and facilities management for 14 locations (315,000 sq ft).
• Supervise subordinate staff and coordinate with departments and vendors.
• Monitor expenditures and ensure budgetary compliance.
• Ensure regulatory and accrediting-organization standards are met.
• Initiate programs supporting growth and strategic initiatives.
