Job summary

Heartland Technology Group in Denver is seeking an IT Support Specialist to deliver desktop and application support along with basic server, networking, and firewall administration as part of our managed services team.

The ideal candidate will blend technical and customer service skills to support multiple Heartland customers in a fast-paced environment. This role emphasizes Windows expertise and proactive maintenance.

Qualifications

• 3+ years’ experience in IT service roles, systems administration, and network administration.
• Associate degree in a technology-related field or equivalent experience.
• Customer service oriented.
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Windows Operating System.
• Basic knowledge of network printing, antivirus software, and server administration.
• Experience with Mac OS and mobile OS (iOS/Android) is a plus.
• Strong prioritization and team-player mindset.

Responsibilities

• Respond to auto-generated ticket alerts and manage tickets in the system.
• Monitor tickets and SLA-based responses for clients.
• Perform proactive maintenance on switches, routers, firewalls, and servers.
• Provide remote support for devices and networks.
• Review client reports and implement resolutions.
• Escalate issues to appropriate teams and clients.
• Participate in after-hours on-call rotation with compensation.
• Document procedures and contribute to team knowledge base.
