Heartland Business Systems LLC is seeking an IT Service Specialist to join its managed services team. You will deliver desktop and application support, basic server/network administration, and customer-focused IT services across multiple clients.

The role emphasizes ticket handling, proactive maintenance, and on-call rotation with additional compensation. Strong communication, problem solving, and teamwork are essential to succeed in this fast-paced MSP environment.

Qualifications

• 3+ years’ experience in IT service roles, systems administration, and network administration.
• Associate degree in technology-related field or equivalent
• Customer service-oriented skillset
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Windows Operating System
• Basic knowledge of network printing and antivirus software
• Experience with server administration within Microsoft Windows Server
• Experience with Mac OS and mobile OS (iOS/Android)

Responsibilities

• Respond to auto generated ticket alerts and manage client requests.
• Monitor and update tickets in the ticket system per SLA.
• Escalate tickets to internal teams and client IT departments as needed.
• Perform proactive maintenance: switches, firewalls, routers, servers, patches.
• Provide remote support for network devices and servers.
• Review client reports and implement solutions.
• Contribute to process documentation and training for customers or colleagues.
• Participate in after-hours on-call rotation as needed with compensation.
