Job summary

Heartland Technology Group is seeking an IT Support Specialist to deliver desktop, application, and basic server/network administration within our managed services team. You will support multiple Heartland customers and combine technical skills with strong customer service in a fast-paced environment.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years in IT service or systems administration, and comfortable handling tickets, coordinating with internal teams, and performing proactive maintenance on networking gear

Qualifications

• 3+ years in IT service, systems administration, or network administration.
• Customer service oriented; strong verbal and written communication.
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Windows Operating System.
• Basic knowledge of network printing and antivirus software packages.

Responsibilities

• Respond to auto generated ticket alerts, including critical and non-critical items.
• Monitor and work tickets in the ticket system to meet SLA.
• Acknowledge and respond to tickets; escalate to internal or client IT as needed.
• Participate in a phone queue for client call-in requests.
• Review monthly client reports and provide resolutions based on findings.
• Perform proactive maintenance on switches, firewalls, routers, servers and patches.
