West Side Federation for Senior and Supportive Housing is seeking an IT Support Assistant to aid the IT department with admin and technology tasks across multiple locations. The role focuses on documentation, onboarding, inventory, and user support to keep technology services running smoothly for staff.
The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree, strong MS Office skills, and the ability to explain technical details to non-technical users.
The West Side Federation for Senior and Supportive Housing, Inc. (WSFSSH) is a community-based organization responding to the need for low-cost housing. Our mission is to provide safe, affordable housing with supportive services within a residential setting that enhances the independence and dignity of each person. WSFSSH develops, manages, and provides social services in housing for low-income persons, especially those who are older, who have experienced homelessness and who live with mental illness.
Reporting to the Director of Information Technology, the IT Support Assistant will be responsible for assisting the Information Technology Department with general administrative and office support and IT technology support functions to further the overall technology needs of WSFSSH. This IT Support role will provide services that include several detailed tasks, including usage of administrative IT tools, in support of the IT team and WSFSSH staff across multiple locations.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Physical demands include primarily required to sit, stand, walk, stoop, crawl, lean, bend, manage stairs for extended periods throughout multiple buildings. Must be able to maneuver in small spaces, kneel, crouch, climb ladders and ability to lift a minimum of 50+ lbs. or more as needed.
