Responsibilities

Peraton is currently seeking a IT Support Administrator to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. The qualified applicant will become part of Peraton’s HHS OIG Information Technology Service Desk Support and Engineering Services Program. The IT Support Administrator provides technical assistance to HHS-VIP and HHS users, answers questions; resolves computer problems for clients in person, or via telephone or electronically; provides assistance concerning the use of computer hardware and software, including printing, installation, word processing, electronic mail, and operating systems. This position is remote with onsite travel as needed to support HHS OCIO VIPs that are virtual (Los Angeles).

What you’ll do:

  • Provide responsive, reliable, and consistent service delivery, ensuring IT services meet the urgent needs of customers.
  • Provide prompt referrals and escalations to appropriate IT support services.
  • Meet all Service Level Agreements (SLAs), including speed to answer, first contact resolution, and ticket aging limits.
  • Resolve technical problems and answer queries via telephone, supporting internal and external customers' hardware, software, network, and telecommunications systems.
  • Diagnose, identify, isolate, and analyze problems using historical database records; route calls to product line specialists when necessary; maintain and update records and tracking databases.
  • Alert management to recurring issues and patterns; respond to and diagnose problems through discussion with users.
  • Ensure timely problem resolution through recognition, research, isolation, resolution, and follow-up processes.
  • Support end users on issues related to applications and web applications.
  • Identify, research, and resolve technical problems efficiently.
  • Respond to technical support requests via phone, email, or personnel requests.
  • Document, track, and monitor issues to ensure timely resolution.
  • Collaborate with network services, software systems engineering, and application development teams to restore service and identify core problems.
  • Recreate user problems to resolve operating difficulties and recommend system modifications to reduce user issues.
Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • 5 years with BS/BA; 3 years with MS/MA; 0 years with PhD
  • Minimum of 2 years of help desk experience using ServiceNow tools.
  • Must be a US Citizen.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust Clearance.
  • Reside within 50 miles of Los Angeles.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with HHS and/or the Office of Inspector General is a plus.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency with MS Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Adaptability to a fast-paced, evolving environment with varying priorities.

Target Salary Range

$66,000 - $106,000. This range reflects typical salaries based on experience and other factors.
