We're looking for a motivated, temp-hire IT Support Administrator to join our client's IT team. In this role, you'll be a first point of contact for employees across the organization, providing first- and second-level support for hardware, software, network connectivity, user access, and general technology needs. You'll also help with device deployments, onboarding/offboarding, software installations, IT asset management, and everyday IT operations.
We're looking for someone with strong troubleshooting instincts, a customer-first mindset, and the ability to stay organized and effective in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day technical support for hardware, software, and network issues across the organization
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues on desktops, laptops, printers, mobile devices, and other peripherals
- Support and maintain Windows 11 environments and Microsoft 365 applications (Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, etc.)
- Administer user accounts, permissions, and group policies within Active Directory
- Assist with basic network troubleshooting, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, and wireless connectivity
- Log, track, and document all support activities in the company ticketing system
- Support basic configuration and troubleshooting of network hardware such as switches, routers, and firewalls
- Perform hardware deployments, software installations/updates, and imaging for new and existing equipment
- Maintain accurate IT asset inventory records, including equipment assignments and lifecycle status
- Escalate complex issues to senior IT staff or vendors as needed
- Follow IT policies and procedures to ensure security, compliance, and data integrity
Required Qualifications
- 1–3 years of experience in IT support, help desk, or desktop support
- Hands‑on experience supporting Windows 11 and Microsoft 365 applications
- Proven troubleshooting skills across PCs, laptops, printers, mobile devices, and peripherals
- Familiarity with Active Directory and user account administration
- Basic networking knowledge, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, and wireless networking
- Experience using ticketing systems and documenting support activities
- Basic understanding of network hardware, including switches, routers, and firewalls
- Experience with hardware deployments, software installations, and IT asset management
- Associate degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field — or equivalent work experience
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in a manufacturing environment
- Familiarity with endpoint security, cybersecurity best practices, and mobile device management
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Azure or other cloud‑based administration tools
- Relevant industry certification, such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or a Microsoft certification
