Job summary

Louisiana State Police is seeking an IT Supervisor to lead the Mobile Communications Services team. You will oversee IT operations, guide technical staff, and drive innovations to support statewide telecommunications and data systems for the agency and partners.

The role requires strong leadership in IT, experience supervising diverse teams, and the ability to coordinate with vendors to ensure system reliability and interoperability. Promote training and mission-focused service delivery.

Qualifications

Six years of information technology experience OR equivalent combinations.
Experience substitution: Every 30 semester hours earned from an accredited college or university will be credited as one year of experience, max 120 semester hours.
Certifications in approved areas may substitute for education/experience at hire or promotion.
Supervisory responsibilities overseeing IT personnel and coordinating with vendors/contractors.

Responsibilities

Supervises IT staff and coordinates with industry partners on system enhancements, upgrades, and infrastructure expansions.
Ensures daily operations critical to mission success are completed and staff are trained for user support.
Provides liaison with vendors to safeguard system integrity and statewide interoperability.
Determines work priorities, assigns tasks, monitors progress, and evaluates performance.
Maintains technologies for the assigned area and communicates progress to management.
May cross-train staff and present to agency personnel on technology use.
