We are searching for a Top Secret cleared IT Subject Matter Expert (SME) to join our team in Washington, DC.

You will be working in an organization that’s mission is to accelerate operations through data and new analytical insights. The entire section leverages agile and works to provide the entire enterprise with tools and applications to assist with operational data discovery, data exploitation, data analytics, and data visualization tools. The section works closely with the entire enterprise to ensure its applications and tools meet or exceed the needs of the mission.

The IT Subject Matter Expert (SME) is a part of a team that will lead large scale data analysis projects to design and deliver on premises and cloud-based applications. The IT Subject Matter Expert (SME) is responsible for providing technical knowledge and analysis of highly specialized applications and operational environments, high-level functional systems analysis, design, integration, documentation, and implementation advice on exceptionally complex problems that need extensive knowledge of the subject matter for effective implementation.
The IT Subject Matter Expert (SME) participates as needed in all phases of development with emphasis on the planning, analysis, testing, integration, documentation, and presentation phases and typically requires specialization in particular software or business applications utilized in an end user environment. The IT Subject Matter Expert (SME) will need to keep abreast of technological developments and applications.

Responsibilities:
• Provides technical knowledge and analysis of highly specialized applications and operational environments, high-level functional systems analysis, design, integration, documentation, and implementation advice on exceptionally complex problems that need extensive knowledge of the subject matter for effective implementation.
• Participates as needed in all phases of development with emphasis on the planning, analysis, testing, integration, documentation, and presentation phases. Typically requires specialization in particular software or business applications utilized in an end user environment.
• Keeps abreast of technological developments and applications.
• Provides technical/management leadership on major tasks or technology assignments. Establishes goals and plans that meet project objectives.
• A Subject Matter Expert is an individual whose qualifications and/or expertise are exceptional and/or highly unique. Has domain and expert technical knowledge. Performs the following kinds of functions: Initiates, supervises, and/or develops requirements from a project’s inception to conclusion for complex to extremely complex programs; Provides strategic advice, technical guidance, and expertise to program and project staff; Provides detailed analysis, evaluation and recommendations for improvements, optimization development, and/or maintenance efforts for client-specific or mission critical challenges/issues; Consults with client to define need or problem, supervises studies and leads surveys to collect and analyze data to provide advice and recommend solutions. Decision making and domain knowledge may have a critical impact on overall project implementation. May supervise others. Minimum of 10 years’ experience recommended. In absence of years of experience, certifications or past work may be used to show the level of experience needed to perform at this level.

Requirements:
• Active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility
• Minimum 12 years of experience supporting the resolution of extremely complex systems engineering, computer science, or other related issues or provides in-depth domain expertise
• Education: Master’s Degree
o In absence of degree, additional years of experience may be substituted for educational requirements
