Job summary

UN Secretariat in New York seeks an accomplished IT strategy leader to drive the 2026-2030 IT Strategy within the Office of Investment Management. You will translate strategic priorities into actionable programs, milestones, and governance, advising senior management on systems development and future needs.

The role requires a decade of IT experience, advanced degree, and proficiency in English and French, with a focus on architecture, security, data governance, and performance measurement.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of progressive IT leadership and strategic execution.
• Experience in IT systems planning, design, development, and maintenance.
• Experience implementing multi-year IT strategy and enterprise architecture.
• Experience with data-driven performance management.
• Desirable: TOGAF certification, domain migration, and integrated roadmap delivery.
• English and French language proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Lead the implementation of the IT Strategy (2026-2030) with an integrated program roadmap.
• Translate priorities into coordinated initiatives, milestones, and governance.
• Provide technical and policy advice to senior management on systems development.
• Optimize allocation of financial, human, and technical resources.
• Ensure adherence to standards for architecture, information security, data governance, interoperability, service management, and business continuity.
• Establish and maintain program governance and monitor progress against scope, schedule, budget, and outcomes.
• Develop KPIs and dashboards to demonstrate strategy impact on capability and maturity.
• Prepare and monitor budgets and work programs.
• Lead data analysis for planning and decision-making.
