Job summary

The United Nations Office of Investment Management (OIM) in New York seeks a Senior Information Systems Officer to lead the IT Strategy 2026-2030 and manage an extensive, multi-asset portfolio of IT initiatives. You will translate strategy into a coordinated programme, oversee governance, and drive measurable benefits.

You will provide policy guidance on systems development, align resources, ensure security and data governance, and report progress with KPIs and dashboards to senior leadership.

Qualifications

• Advanced degree required in computer science, information systems, mathematics or related field.
• 10+ years of progressively responsible IT experience in planning, design, development, implementation and maintenance.
• Experience leading organization-wide IT strategy implementation with governance, benefits realization and transition to operations.

Responsibilities

• Leads the implementation of the IT strategy 2026-2030 by creating an integrated programme roadmap.
• Provides authoritative technical and policy advice to senior managers on systems development and related issues.
• Plans and optimizes allocation of available financial, human and technical resources across the IT roadmap.
• Ensures standards for system architecture, information security, data governance, interoperability, service management and business continuity.
• Develops data-driven KPIs, dashboards and maturity measures to track implementation progress and outcomes.
• Prepares and monitors the budget, work program and spending plan; identifies risks and mitigation actions.
