Responsibilities

• Refresh and validate the IT Strategy implementation roadmap, translating strategic objectives into a prioritized, sequenced portfolio of initiatives, milestones, dependencies, resourcing assumptions, risks, costs, benefits, and accountable owners.
• Establish a roadmap intake, assessment, and prioritization framework for new projects, enhancements, and technology requests with a full assessment of value, architecture fit, data implications, security, and lifecycle readiness.
• Create an enterprise technology landscape and target-state architecture view covering apps, data platforms, integrations, identity, automation, reporting, infrastructure, security, and resilience dependencies.
• Establish programme governance: steering arrangements, cadence, RAID log, escalation paths, change control, decision rights, status reporting, and benefits-tracking approach.
• Apply the intake framework to all proposed initiatives and align to the target architecture to avoid duplication or debt.
• Develop a cross-functional workflow automation framework across operations, investment operations, finance, HR, procurement, risk, IT service delivery, and business continuity.
• Define minimum design standards for automated workflows: ownership, user journeys, exception handling, approvals, duties, audit trails, APIs, master data, security, monitoring, and support.
• Produce delivery plans for priority IT Strategy initiatives with scope, milestones, risks, and procurement needs.
• Drive delivery of roadmap initiatives through dependency management and vendor coordination.
• Launch a set of workflow improvements or automation pilots using enterprise platforms and integration patterns.
• Establish architecture/design assurance gates and a portfolio performance dashboard tracking health, milestones, costs, risks, benefits, and adoption.
• Conduct year-end reviews and re-baseline the roadmap for the next 12–18 months, incorporating lessons and capacity.

Quarter 1: Mobilize and Baseline

• Refresh and validate the IT Strategy implementation roadmap, translating strategic objectives into a prioritized, sequenced portfolio of initiatives, milestones, dependencies, resourcing assumptions, risks, costs, benefits, and accountable owners.
• Establish a roadmap intake, assessment, and prioritization framework for new projects, enhancements, and technology requests. The framework should assess business value, strategic alignment, architecture fit, data and integration implications, workflow/process impact, information security, privacy, BCP, operating-model readiness, capacity, total cost, benefits, and dependencies.
• Create an initial enterprise technology landscape and target-state architecture view, covering core business applications, data platforms, integrations, identity and access, automation/orchestration capabilities, reporting, infrastructure, information security, and resilience dependencies.
• Establish programme governance: steering arrangements, workstream cadence, RAID log, escalation paths, change control, decision rights, status-reporting standards, and benefits-tracking approach.

Quarter 2: Design and Align

• Apply the project-intake framework to all proposed material initiatives and update the roadmap to ensure projects are complementary, realistically sequenced, and aligned to the target architecture rather than creating new duplication or technical debt.
• Develop a cross-functional workflow automation framework. Identify and prioritize high-volume, high-risk, manual, or slow processes across operations, investment operations, finance, HR, procurement, risk, IT service delivery, and business continuity.
• Define minimum design standards for automated workflows: process ownership, user journeys, exception handling, approval controls, segregation of duties, audit trail, integration/API standards, master-data use, information security, monitoring, and service support.
• Produce delivery plans for priority IT Strategy initiatives, including scope, outcomes, milestones, dependencies, acceptance criteria, risks, resourcing, procurement needs, and benefits measures.

Quarter 3: Deliver and Embed

• Drive delivery of priority roadmap initiatives through active dependency management, vendor coordination, issue resolution, readiness reviews, and timely escalation of decisions or risks.
• Launch a defined set of high-value workflow improvements or automation pilots using approved enterprise platforms and integration patterns—not standalone spreadsheets or fragmented point solutions.
• Establish architecture and design assurance gates for material initiatives, confirming alignment with the target architecture, integration standards, data ownership, information security requirements, operational support, and BCP needs before commitment and release.
• Implement a portfolio performance dashboard that combines delivery health, milestones, cost, risk, dependencies, benefits, adoption, process performance, and service measures.

Quarter 4: Optimize and Plan

• Conduct a year-end roadmap and portfolio review, measuring delivery against planned milestones, benefits, architecture progress, key risks, lessons learned, and remaining delivery gaps.
• Update and re-baseline the roadmap for the following 12–18 months, incorporating approved new initiatives, implementation lessons, capacity, procurement timing, architecture dependencies, and realistic sequencing.
• Develop a roadmap for scaling successful workflow automation, including reusable design patterns, technical standards, change/adoption requirements, control environment, operating ownership, and benefits targets.
• Strengthen institutional capability through knowledge transfer, playbooks, and handover of programme-management, project-intake, architecture-assurance, workflow-design, reporting, and benefits-management practices.
