Job summary

The Christman Company in Lansing, MI is seeking an Information Technology Specialist II to join our team. This role is a seasoned IT support professional who administers core technology daily and helps maintain secure, reliable systems.

You will manage Microsoft 365, Entra ID, and Intune; oversee Active Directory and Group Policy; deploy devices with Windows Autopilot; and support networking gear across sites. Travel is minimal and mentorship of junior staff is expected.

Qualifications

Associate's or bachelor's degree in IT or related field, or IT certifications.
3-5 years of work experience in IT.
Hands-on administration of Microsoft 365 and Entra ID.
Experience with Intune and Windows Autopilot for device management.
Experience administering Active Directory and Group Policy.
Networking configuration and troubleshooting (firewalls, switches, access points).
Strong Windows 10/11 support experience.

Responsibilities

Serve as Tier 1/2 escalation for all locations company wide.
Diagnose and resolve moderately complex or recurring technical issues across endpoints, identity, collaboration, networking, and business apps.
Administer Microsoft 365 and Entra ID users and groups with basic conditional access.
Manage devices with Intune and Windows Autopilot; deploy endpoint policies.
Administer Active Directory and Group Policy.
Configure and troubleshoot networking equipment (firewalls, switches, APs, Wi‑Fi).
Support jobsite and regional-office tech setup and onboarding/offboarding processes.
Mentor junior IT Specialists and contribute to service-improvement efforts.
