Job summary

The Orthopaedic Institute in Florida seeks an IT Specialist based in Gainesville to deliver hands-on Tier 1 and Tier 2 support for end-user devices, software, and clinical systems. You will troubleshoot hardware, manage accounts, and assist with IT projects in a fast-paced healthcare setting.

Travel across Florida locations is required; you will work with physicians, clinical staff, and IT teammates to keep systems secure, reliable, and compliant with HIPAA and cybersecurity policies.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent in IT/CS with professional experience.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred for advanced roles.
• 1–3 years of professional IT support or service desk experience.
• Strong knowledge of Windows 10/11, Microsoft 365, and AD/Entra ID.

Responsibilities

• Provide Tier 1 and Tier 2 technical support for end-user hardware, software, and network connectivity.
• Install, configure, and maintain Windows desktops, laptops, iPads, printers, scanners, monitors, and other equipment.
• Support healthcare technology including EHR/EMR, PACS, imaging, and clinical applications.
• Troubleshoot hardware, OS, software, peripheral, and connectivity issues; document solutions.
• Assist with Active Directory/Entra ID user accounts, passwords, and access issues; support Intune and mobile devices.
• Escalate complex problems to Systems, Network, Security, or Applications teams as needed.
• Maintain asset inventory and perform preventative maintenance; participate in technology refreshes.
• Document incidents and resolutions in ITSM; develop knowledge-base articles.
• Provide on-site and remote support; travel to multiple Florida locations as required.
• Assist with onboarding, transfers, and terminations regarding equipment and access.
• Ensure security standards and HIPAA compliance are followed; assist with cybersecurity tasks.
