The Surface Transportation Board is an independent federal agency that is responsible for the economic oversight of the nation's freight rail system.

Specialized experience must meet 52 weeks equivalent to the next lower grade level. A full year of work is considered to be 35-40 hours of work per week. To be qualified for this position at the GS-14 grade level, you must demonstrate in your resume one year (52 weeks) of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level, GS-13, in the Federal service (experience may have been gained in the private sector or volunteer experience) demonstrated:

• Designing and implementing enterprise data architectures, integrating various data sources and platforms to support organizational needs.
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into effective data solutions and ensure alignment with strategic objectives.
• Leading data architecture projects, providing guidance to technical staff, and fostering best practices in data management and security.
• Developing and maintaining comprehensive documentation, including architecture diagrams and data dictionaries, to support ongoing operations and compliance.
• Staying current with emerging technologies and industry trends, continuously enhancing data architecture to drive innovation and improvement.

Your qualifications will be evaluated on the following competencies:

Applicants for the Information Technology Management series, 2210 at the GS-14 grade level must have Information Technology (IT) related experience which demonstrates proficiency in the following competencies:
