Job summary

KBR is seeking an IT Specialist to administer, maintain, and support information technology systems, networks, and cybersecurity programs to support TACOM (WVA) installation operations.

You will provide technical support, enforce system compliance, monitor performance, and document configurations, while coordinating with vendors and stakeholders on IT projects. U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain a government security clearance are required. This position is contingent upon award.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience supporting computer systems, networks, servers, software applications, and end-user devices in an enterprise environment.
• Knowledge of system administration, networking, cybersecurity principles, and IT support best practices.
• Experience troubleshooting hardware, software, network, and account access issues.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Windows operating systems, Active Directory, Microsoft 365, and common network technologies.
• Proficiency with IT service management tools, system monitoring applications, and technical documentation practices.
• Relevant certifications such as Security+, Network+, A+, Microsoft, Cisco, or similar industry-recognized certifications are preferred.
• Ability to obtain or maintain a U.S. Government security clearance (as required)
• U.S. citizenship required

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot computer hardware, software, servers, network equipment, and peripheral devices.
• Provide technical support to users by diagnosing and resolving hardware, software, system access, and network connectivity issues.
• Administer user accounts, permissions, and access controls in accordance with cybersecurity policies and organizational requirements.
• Monitor and maintain network and system performance to ensure reliability, availability, and security of IT services.
• Implement and maintain cybersecurity measures, including system updates, vulnerability remediation, security monitoring, and incident response activities.
• Manage system backups, software inventories, technology assets, and disaster recovery processes to support continuity of operations.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation, standard operating procedures, and system configuration records.
• Coordinate with vendors, contractors, and stakeholders to support IT projects, system upgrades, and technology modernization efforts.
