Job summary

KBR, Inc. invites applications for an IT Specialist to administer and support IT systems, networks, and cybersecurity programs for TACOM operations.

Budged under a TACOM contract with a contingent award, the position requires collaboration with users, leadership, vendors, and technical teams to implement technology solutions and maintain system compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent
• Experience supporting computer systems, networks, servers, software applications, and end-user devices in an enterprise environment
• Knowledge of system administration, networking, cybersecurity principles, and IT support best practices
• Experience troubleshooting hardware, software, network, and account access issues
• Knowledge of Microsoft Windows operating systems, Active Directory, Microsoft 365, and common network technologies
• Proficiency with IT service management tools, system monitoring applications, and technical documentation practices
• Certifications such as Security+, Network+, A+, Microsoft, Cisco preferred
• Ability to obtain or maintain a U.S. Government security clearance; U.S. citizenship required

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot computer hardware, software, servers, network equipment, and peripherals
• Provide technical support to users by diagnosing and resolving hardware, software, system access, and network connectivity issues
• Administer user accounts, permissions, and access controls in line with cybersecurity policies
• Monitor and maintain network and system performance for reliable IT services
• Implement and maintain cybersecurity measures including updates, vulnerability remediation, and incident response
• Manage system backups, inventories, and disaster recovery processes
• Develop and maintain technical documentation and SOPs
• Coordinate with vendors and stakeholders on IT projects and upgrades
