Job summary

U.S. Department of Defense seeks an IT Specialist for the Defense Health Agency to engineer and configure enterprise platforms across DHA environments.

Location options include Falls Church, VA; San Antonio, TX; or Tacoma, WA, with in-person work required and situational telework as approved. Responsibilities include designing platform governance, managing site usability and access, and overseeing mobile, VR, and web apps to implement compliance controls.

Qualifications

• Background investigation and suitability determination may be required.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance for duration of employment.
• Selectee must meet at least Intermediate - 802 – IT Project Manager certification requirements.
• Defense Acquisition Workforce position in Engineering and Technical Management; Practitioner track.

Responsibilities

• Engineering and configuring enterprise platforms across DHA internet, intranet, and extranet environments.
• Designs and develops platform lifecycle governance and branding for DHA sites.

• Maintains portal structure and assists with content migration from legacy systems.
• Oversee mobile, VR, and web apps to implement automated compliance controls and upgrades.
• Prepare technical specifications to support acquisition of software, hardware, and manpower.

About the Position: This position may be filled at one of the following locations: Falls Church, VA; San Antonio, TX; or Tacoma, WA.
This position in the Web & Mobile Technology PMO can be located in Falls Church, VA; San Antonio, TX; or Tacoma, WA. In person work is required, with situational telework as approved by the supervisor, regardless of the location.

Duties

• Serves as a Defense Health Agency (DHA) IT Specialist responsible for engineering and configuring enterprise platforms across DHA internet, intranet, and extranet environments.
• Designs and develops platform lifecycle governance and branding for DHA internet, intranet, and extranet sites.
• Administers DHA internet, intranet, and extranet sites to ensure usability, site structure integrity, and user access management.
• Maintains the portal structure and hierarchy of organizational sites and assists users with the content migration from legacy systems.
• Oversee mobile, virtual reality, and web applications to implement automated compliance controls and platform upgrades across DHA.
• Prepares technical specifications to support acquisition of required software, hardware, and manpower resources.

Requirements

• Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
• This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment. A background investigation and credit check are required.
• This is a Cyberspace Workforce position. Selectee must meet position requirements for certification as Intermediate - 802 – IT Project Manager
