Job summary

Job description

This position is located at Departmental Offices,Domestic Finance - Financial Markets. As an IT Specialist, you will be responsible for designing, developing, implementing, and maintaining the FFB's Loan Management Control System (LMCS) and other computer application systems in the Federal Financing Bank.

You must meet the following requirements by the closing date of this announcement.

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE

For the GS-14 grade level, you must have one year (52 full weeks) of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-13 grade level in the Federal service.

  • Experience serving as a technical expert in the design, development, maintenance, and optimization of enterprise-scale financial software applications using Java or an equivalent programming language in support of sophisticated banking, loan management, or financial management systems; AND
  • Experience architecting or modernizing financial management systems by incorporating advanced financial formulas, accounting logic, data validation rules, and business requirements to ensure calculation accuracy, transaction integrity, and reliable financial reporting; AND
  • Experience converting financial, accounting, and business requirements into technical designs, automated controls, calculation logic, and system enhancements for mission-critical enterprise financial management systems; AND
  • Experience optimizing SQL to extract, analyze, validate, or reconcile data within relational databases supporting financial system operations.

The experience may have been gained in either the public, private sector or volunteer service. One year of experience refers to full-time work; part-time work is considered on a prorated basis.
