Job summary

Socket.dev is seeking a business analyst to partner with business functions to define objectives, analyze requirements, and document priorities for information systems. You will work with application and technical experts on solution design, implementation, support, and enhancement to meet identified business needs.

You will assist with or conduct validation, testing, and issue escalation while building strong relationships across business and technical teams to deliver measurable value.

Qualifications

• Define and document business success criteria for initiatives.
• Elicit, analyze, and document both functional and non-functional requirements.
• Collaborate with business and technical teams to design, implement, and validate solutions.

Responsibilities

• Assists the business to define and document what constitutes business success for small to medium size initiatives.
• May work as part of a team on project definition and documentation for larger initiatives.
• Elicits, analyzes, and documents functional requirements across process, information, event, socio-political, and location aspects.
• Assists with or conducts solution assessment and validation to ensure specifications meet business needs.
• Participates in testing the solution to ensure it meets functional and non-functional requirements.
• Escalates issues for additional analysis and resolution as appropriate.
• Develops positive relationships with the business and downstream technical processes.
• Learn Business Relationship Management best practices to support delivery of business value.
