Job summary

Socket.dev in Texas seeks a Business Analyst 2 to support business users by monitoring and recommending improvements to application software and business systems. You will analyze and optimize processes, gather functional requirements, and document processes to drive efficiency.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Economics or Technology, or related field or equivalent experience.
• 3–5 years’ experience as a Business Analyst and/or Project Manager.
• Relevant electric/gas utility experience in a co-op environment.
• Certification(s) in Business Analysis preferred.
• MBA or Advanced Degree in Business, Economics or Technology preferred.
• Broad range of business or technology experience including programming, customer information systems, billing, report generation, analysis, etc.
• Experience with business process modeling tools preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supports the business or technical client in Project Business Case development.
• Collects and analyzes data for potential business expansion.
• Identifies opportunities and recommends process improvements to improve quality and efficiency.
• Influences stakeholders to support projects.
• Leads projects and coordinates with teams to achieve better outcomes.
• Tests business processes and coordinates user acceptance testing.
• Cooperates in developing training documents and programs.
• Ensures compliance with safety and information security guidelines.
• Attends required training and department meetings.
• Performs other duties as directed.
