Job summary

Hippo, a tech-driven insurer, is seeking a Manager, IT in Austin or Dallas to lead the internal support team and drive IT strategy. You will partner with the Director of IT to improve tools, processes, and documentation while enhancing the customer experience across the company.

You will mentor a diverse team, govern SaaS platforms, and advance security and governance, translating business needs into scalable IT solutions that support rapid growth.

Qualifications

• 6+ years in a modern IT support environment.
• 3+ years leading projects.
• 2+ years people management or team leadership.
• Hands-on with identity providers, device management, and enterprise tools like Slack, Teams, Zoom.
• Subject matter expert in one or more modern enterprise tools.
• Experience with video conferencing solutions.
• Extensive knowledge of macOS and Windows.
• Strong ticket management, metrics and trends, and best practices.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with stakeholders.
• Strong attention to detail and a passion for continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Leverage AI tools to innovate and improve Helpdesk processes.
• Co-manage & administer SaaS environment including SSO integrations and O365.
• Create policy and process documentation for IT staff and Hippo employees.
• Manage team performance globally through SLAs and metrics.
• Lead cross-functional projects, championing impact on UX, security, infra.
• Translate project requirements into actionable objectives and deadlines.
• Identify gaps in technology and engineer scalable solutions.
• Provide hands-on technical and policy escalation support.
