Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required and currently enrolled in IT-related degree.
• Six months of related experience preferred; any combination of education/experience/certifications acceptable.
• Valid Texas Driver’s License Class C and good driving record.
• Must pass pre-employment drug test.
• Knowledge of Windows OS and PC hardware; ability to install and configure software.

Responsibilities

• Provide service desk support, answer phones, document issues, and troubleshoot customer problems.
• Set up, configure, and install system software and peripheral equipment.
• Program and troubleshoot PC software and hardware.
• Identify, log, and resolve issues related to supported applications.
• Assist in evaluating and implementing new software and hardware solutions.
• Perform updates and maintenance of City IT systems.
• Provide temporary support for transferring records to digital format.
