Job summary

ROSEN is seeking an IT Service Technician based in Houston, TX, reporting to the Head of Information Technology. You will join the IT team to ensure reliable operations and support a range of systems, hardware, and software.

The role emphasizes security compliance, proactive monitoring, and ongoing technology upgrades, with opportunities to contribute to multiple ROSEN locations and projects.

Qualifications

• Completed education in Computer Science or equivalent.
• 3–4 years of experience in IT systems administration and support.
• Strong knowledge of IT systems, hardware, and software.
• Familiarity with IT security practices and proactive risk management.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Deploy, configure, maintain, and monitor IT systems, hardware, and software.
• Support security compliance, troubleshooting, and technology upgrades.
• Identify vulnerabilities and apply patches to maintain system security.
• Create and maintain documentation for systems and processes.
• Assist with IT project implementations and technology evaluations.
• Provide technical support and resolve IT-related issues promptly.
• Transfer business knowledge to third parties or internal requestors when needed.

ROSEN is looking for an IT Service Technician that will be based in Houston, TX. This position reports directly to the Head of Information Technology and will be a part of the Information Technology team.

What will I be doing?

The IT Service Technician ensures reliable IT operations by deploying, configuring, maintaining, and monitoring systems, hardware, and software. This role supports security compliance, troubleshooting, and technology upgrades to maintain optimal performance across the organization.

What are we looking for?

• Install, configure, maintain, and update IT systems, hardware, and software securely.
• Identify vulnerabilities and apply necessary patches to maintain system security.
• Perform proactive monitoring of IT infrastructure and services.
• Create and maintain documentation for systems and processes.
• Adhere to IT and IT-security guidelines and policies.
• Continuously self-educate on existing applications and emerging technologies, including IT security.
• Support office upgrades or complete setups for new ROSEN locations.
• Assist with IT project implementation and technology evaluations.
• Provide technical support and resolve IT-related issues promptly.
• Transfer business knowledge to third parties or internal requestors when needed.

Additional Qualifications Or Skills

What are we looking for?

• Completed education in Computer Science or equivalent degree in Informatics.
• 3–4 years of experience in IT systems administration and support.
• Strong knowledge of IT systems, hardware, and software.
• Skilled in troubleshooting, upgrades, and creative problem-solving.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Familiarity with IT security practices and proactive risk management.

Physical Requirements:

• Employee must frequently lift and/or move greater than 50 pounds and/or lift greater than 180 pounds with help of one person
• Must be able to work on hands and knees and crawl into tight spaces
• Must be able to climb ladders into overhead or ceiling crawl spaces
• Ability to work in limited lighting
• Potential to work in elevated heights
