Job summary

Balchem Corporation is seeking a Service Desk Technician in Montvale, NJ to provide frontline IT support for desktops, laptops, printers, and network issues. You will own requests from intake to resolution, communicate clearly with users, and escalate priorities as needed.

The role requires an associate degree or IT certification, strong troubleshooting across Windows-based devices, and experience with ticketing systems. Weekend/late shift flexibility may be required.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or IT certification (CompTIA or Google IT) required.
• Strong troubleshooting of Windows-based devices and mobile devices (iOS/Android).
• Experience with Microsoft Office and Windows 11.
• Familiarity with ticketing systems and remote management tools.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to explain technical information to non-technical users.

Responsibilities

• Serve as first point of contact for employee support requests via in person, phone, or ticketing system.
• Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, printer, and network issues; document solutions.
• Install, configure, and maintain desktops, laptops, printers, software.
• Assist with IT infrastructure maintenance including servers, networks, cabling.
• Log, track, and escalate requests; communicate clearly to users.
• Collaborate with vendors and internal teams on system changes.
• Develop knowledge of software, hardware, and interdependencies.
• Document recurring issues and best practices.
• Follow safety policies and perform other duties.
• Work weekends or late evenings as needed.
