Job summary

Balchem Corporation is seeking a Regional System Administrator in Montvale, NJ. The role is the first point of contact for troubleshooting server hardware, software, desktop, laptop, and peripheral problems, requiring routine and emergency maintenance on servers, switches, and phone systems for local and remote facilities.

You will diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues, document activities, and communicate effectively with end users.

Qualifications

BS degree or equivalent certification(s) required.
Minimum of 2 years of Information Technology experience.
Ability to build rapport with end users and troubleshoot efficiently.
Knowledge of TCP/IP networking required.
Expertise with Windows operating systems (Windows 10/11; Windows Server 2016/2019/2022).
Experience with virtualization technology.

Responsibilities

Assist in maintenance of servers, ethernet networks, and related equipment.
Install, configure, and maintain servers, switches, and enterprise devices.
Log and document activities using help desk software per policies.
Own and resolve user issues submitted through the help desk system.
Communicate technical information to non-technical users clearly.
Travel at least two times per quarter to other facilities for projects and maintenance.
Mentor junior staff and support major system changes and integrations.
