Job summary

Balchem Corporation in Montvale, New Jersey, is hiring a Regional System Administrator to be the first point of contact for server, network, and telephony issues. You will maintain servers, switches, and enterprise equipment, document changes, and support end users across facilities.

You’ll troubleshoot hardware and software, mentor Help Desk staff, collaborate with IT colleagues, and travel to other Balchem sites to implement improvements and preventive maintenance as needed.

Qualifications

• BS degree or equivalent certification(s) in IT.
• Minimum of 2 years of Information Technology experience.
• Experience with TCP/IP networking.
• Proficient with Windows 10/11 and Windows Server 2016/2019/2022.
• Experience with virtualization technologies.
• Willing to travel to other facilities regularly.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Able to work independently and manage priorities.

Responsibilities

• Assist in maintenance of servers, networks, and enterprise equipment.
• Install, configure, and maintain servers, switches, and related devices.
• Document activities and log tickets per procedures.
• Own and resolve end-user issues via help desk system daily.
• Configure desktops, printers, and network connections for users.
• Diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues across devices.
• Mentor first-level Help Desk Technicians as needed.
• Collaborate with IT staff on major system changes and migrations.
• Document installations and changes to network and server systems.
