Job summary

The North Carolina Office of the State Auditor is seeking a Service Desk intern to learn on the job in our IT Division. You will help manage daily tickets, assist with technology issues, and interact with agency employees both virtually and in person under supervision.

Qualified candidates are rising juniors or seniors majoring in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, or related fields with a 3.0 GPA or higher.

Qualifications

  • Rising junior or senior pursuing IT-related degree with a 3.0 GPA or higher.
  • Exposure to opening, routing, and closing Service Desk tickets.
  • Supervised on-the-job training in a IT Service Desk environment.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with daily Service Desk tickets and issue resolution.
  • Interact with employees virtually and in person to provide technology support.
  • Close tickets in a timely manner under supervision.

In this position, you will get the opportunity to work with our Information Technology (IT) Division on daily tickets that are received when it comes to providing technology assistance to agency employees.In this internship, you would be supervised and trained by current full-time employees to gain the experience to independently complete Service Desk tickets as they arrive within IT Division.
