Job summary

The North Carolina Office of the State Auditor is seeking a Data Engineering Intern to join the Data Analytics Team in Raleigh. You will gain hands-on experience building and optimizing ETL pipelines and data infrastructure to support audit activities.

As a rising senior or graduate student in Computer Science, Data Analytics, Statistics, or Mathematics, you will work with Python, SQL, Git, and cloud platforms.

Qualifications

• Rising senior or graduate student with minimum 3.0 GPA.
• Experience with Python, SQL or similar programming languages.
• Experience with Git for collaborative development.
• Spark experience preferred but not required.
• Exposure to cloud platforms like Azure or AWS for storage/compute preferred.

Responsibilities

Within this internship you will gain hands-on experience through directly working on projects assigned to the Data Engineering Team.As a Data Engineering Intern, you will work on projects that focus on building and optimizing data pipelines and infrastructure to support audit and oversight activities.
