Job summary

Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center in Seattle is hiring an IT Service Desk Engineer II to provide front-line technical support for desktop and laptop endpoints in office and laboratory settings. You will handle incidents, guide users, and ensure timely resolutions with strong customer service focus.

The role requires troubleshooting expertise across Windows 10/11, Office 365, and remote access technologies, with opportunities to train and mentor junior colleagues and participate in IT projects.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalency.
• Minimum 2 years of experience.
• Experience with Windows 10/11: install, troubleshoot, configuration.
• Experience with Office 365 programs including Outlook.
• Experience supporting Citrix and Virtual environments.
• Experience with network shares and permissions.
• Experience of network topology and client configuration for connectivity via VPN, RDP, DHCP or Static connection.

Responsibilities

• Answer incoming calls, emails, and walk-up requests for IT and technical support.
• Provide remote access support as necessary.
• Record incidents and requests in the ticketing system with details, impact, and priority.
• Manage and resolve tickets within SLA.
• Maintain communications with customers and provide status updates.
• Publish and maintain knowledge-base documentation.
