Job summary

Specialty1 Partners is seeking an IT Server Engineer to design, deploy, and optimize the server infrastructure across on-premises and cloud environments for multiple dental practices in the US. You will ensure availability, performance, and security for mission-critical systems, manage virtualization platforms, and drive automation initiatives.

The role requires 8+ years in IT, strong virtualization expertise, and proven experience with backup/recovery, security practices, and regulatory

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 8+ years IT experience.
• 3-5+ years Data Center infrastructure and virtualization experience.
• Expert working knowledge of virtualization technologies.
• Experience with backup and disaster recovery solutions (Veeam, Datto, Acronis).
• Knowledge of IT security best practices and regulatory requirements (HIPAA a plus).
• Certifications preferred: MCSA, MCSE, VMware VCP or related.
• Proven customer relationship skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, maintain, and optimize server infrastructure on-prem and in the cloud.
• Lead cloud migration planning, execution, and post-migration optimization.
• Manage virtualization platforms and implement cloud-based infrastructure solutions.
• Develop and maintain automation scripts to streamline provisioning, patching, and monitoring.
• Collaborate with network, security, and application teams to ensure security and compliance.
• Maintain accurate documentation for builds, changes, and disaster recovery.
• Identify opportunities to improve performance, scalability, and reliability through automation.
