Specialty1 Partners in Sugar Land, TX is seeking an IT Server Engineer to design, deploy, and optimize the organization’s server infrastructure across on-premises and cloud environments. You will ensure availability, performance, and security for mission-critical applications across multiple dental practices.

The role requires 8+ years in IT, strong virtualization and cloud skills, and independent work capability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or related field.
• 8+ years of IT experience in server/infrastructure roles.
• Experience with data center infra and virtualization.
• Knowledge of IT security best practices and HIPAA is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Hyper-V administration and virtualization platform management.
• Lead cloud migration planning and post-migration optimization (Azure/AWS).
• Design, implement and support cloud-based infra (VMs, storage, DR).
• Manage multiple projects with deadlines and SLAs.
• Develop automation scripts (PowerShell/Bash) for provisioning and patching.
• Maintain documentation for builds, changes, and DR strategies.
