Job summary

Invariant is a fast-growing professional services firm seeking an experienced IT leader to oversee the full spectrum of IT functions at our DC office. You will proactively manage infrastructure, security, and data integrity while guiding IT strategies and policies.

The role blends hands-on technical work with strategic planning, requiring 7+ years of IT experience, strong customer relations, and the ability to mentor a small team. Expect in-person work and a competitive rewards package.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in IT or related field preferred.
• 7+ years of broad IT experience, demonstrating technical and strategic skills.
• This role requires full‑time, in‑person attendance at our DC office, Monday through Friday.
• Demonstrated ability to manage, mentor, and develop a direct report or small team.
• Strong knowledge of and experience working with Apple products and iOS platform.
• Experience with similar blended roles is preferred.
• Strong understanding of business needs and IT strategy for a fast‑growing business.
• Excellent customer service, communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee IT infrastructure, security, backups, and disaster recovery.
• Lead IT projects such as system upgrades and software deployments.
• Manage vendor relationships and IT subscriptions for scalability.
• Provide technical trainings for new hires and staff.
• Monitor system performance and address issues proactively.
• Administer SentinelOne, Addigy, and Microsoft 365 including Azure and PowerShell.
