Wordsmith is seeking an IT Security Engineer to own the platform that provisions, secures and supports every employee. You will build end-to-end workflows for onboarding, access, devices and offboarding, including tooling and automation that reduces manual steps.

You will work hands-on with hardware in the Edinburgh office, collaborating with security and IT to scale automation, evidence, and governance across the company.

Qualifikationen

• You write real code and automate with APIs and scripts — Python, Bash or TypeScript.
• You think in systems: identity, access, data flows and lifecycle.
• You're comfortable using AI coding agents to build and ship tooling fast.

Aufgaben

• Build joiner pipeline: Humaans to Okta to automated laptop enrolment.
• Develop a Slack assistant backed by coding agents to handle access requests and common issues.
• Create a hardware vending machine system in Edinburgh for quick access to devices and accessories.
• Write infrastructure as code to configure devices, enforce security baselines, and generate audit evidence.
• Implement offboarding flow that revokes access and reclaims devices automatically.
