Job summary

AltaMed Health Services seeks an IT Security Analyst to support Security Operations by monitoring, analyzing, and responding to security events across the organization’s healthcare technology environment. This role serves as an escalation point from the IT Helpdesk for security and access issues, and supports IAM onboarding and offboarding.

• Preferred Certifications: Security+, CySA+, Microsoft SC-200, or equivalent security certifications.

Job Overview

The IT Security Analyst supports AltaMed’s Security Operations by monitoring, analyzing, and responding to security events, service requests, and identity-related activities across the organization’s technological environment. This role serves as an escalation point from the IT Helpdesk for security and access-related issues, supports Identity and Access Management (IAM) onboarding and offboarding processes, collaborates with cross-functional teams to resolve security-related issues, and assists with audits and compliance activities. The IT Security Analyst operates in a regulated healthcare environment and supports IT Security Administrators and Security Engineers.

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 2+ years of experience in IT security, SOC, IT operations, systems administration, or helpdesk escalation roles.
• Preferred Certifications: Security+, CySA+, Microsoft SC-200, or equivalent security certifications

Compensation

$88,391.68 - $110,489.60 annually
