Huntington National Bank is seeking an IT Risk Principal in Charlotte, NC. This 2nd line risk role focuses on governance across Technology and Operations, partnering with front-line units to align with the Enterprise Risk Framework.

The position emphasizes credible challenge of IT risk findings, oversight of risk registers, and active participation in IT risk governance activities. Strong leadership and advisory skills, plus relevant certifications, are highly valued.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent level of work experience.
• Five or more years relevant experience in a technology role, directly supporting technology processes or assets (applications/systems/etc.).
• Experience serving in Governance/Risk/Compliance/Audit, ideally in a leadership role and with a large firm.
• Strong advisory and collaboration skills, and ability to drive consensus.
• Advanced understanding of IT processes and Technology Risks and Controls.
• Experience in the Financial Services industry.

Responsibilities

• Manage processes to ensure credible challenge, oversight, and validation of IT risk findings and risk assessments across the Bank.
• Oversee assigned IT risk areas from the Risk Registry in alignment with risk appetite.
• Participate in IT Policies and Standards framework and ensure output aligns with risk appetite.
• Deliver periodic IT risk updates at governance meetings and participate in IT Risk Committee meetings.
• Deliver quarterly independent IT Risk Assessments and targeted assessments to support the IT risk profile.
• Provide Risk Management leadership across IT and Operational risks.
• Assist with determining the IT Risk Program's strategy and focus areas.
• Participate in mentorship programs to support colleague growth.
