Job summary

Huntington Bank is seeking an IT Risk Principal to join the 2nd Line IT risk function in a multi-office setup (Columbus, OH; Charlotte, NC; Minnetonka, MN). The role focuses on governance, risk assessment, and oversight of IT-related controls across the bank.

You will lead credible challenge, oversight, and remediation efforts, drive risk reporting to governance forums, and mentor peers while building a robust IT risk program aligned with enterprise risk management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent level of work experience.
• Five or more years relevant experience in a technology role, directly supporting technology processes or assets.
• Experience in Governance/Risk/Compliance/Audit, ideally in a leadership role and with a large firm.
• Effective advisory and collaboration skills, and ability to drive consensus.
• Advanced understanding of the IT processes and associated grasp of Technology Risks and Controls.

Responsibilities

• Manage processes to ensure credible challenge and oversight of IT risk findings and risk acceptances across the Bank.
• Oversee IT risks from the Risk Registry in alignment with risk appetite.
• Engage in IT Policies and Standards to ensure outputs align with risk appetite; include metrics, controls, and process maps.
• Deliver quarterly IT risk assessments and updates at governance meetings and IT Risk Committee.
• Provide Risk Management leadership across IT and Operational risks and remediation efforts.
• Help define IT Risk Program strategy and focus areas; participate in mentorship programs.
