Job summary

Huntington Bancshares, Inc. (Columbus, OH) seeks an IT Risk Principal to lead governance and oversight across Technology and Operational risk.

This 2nd line role partners with front-line units and aligns with the Enterprise Risk Framework to challenge findings and validate risk actions. You will drive risk updates at governance meetings and contribute to the IT Risk Committee while shaping the risk program and mentoring colleagues.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent level of work experience.
• Five or more years relevant experience in a technology role supporting technology processes or assets (applications/systems).
• Strong advisory and collaboration skills; ability to drive consensus.
• Advanced understanding of IT processes and related risk controls.
• Industry certifications such as ISACA CRISC/CISA/CISM, ISC2 CISSP/SSCP are preferred and encouraged within 12 months when not possessed at hire.

Responsibilities

• Management of processes to ensure credible challenge, oversight, and validation of IT risk findings/action plans/risk acceptances and 1st line risk and control assessments across the Bank
• Management and Oversight of assigned L2 risk(s) from our Risk Registry in alignment with our risk appetite
• Participation in IT Policies and Standards framework to ensure outputs align with risk appetite; includes metrics, controls, and process maps
• Deliver periodic IT risk updates at governance meetings and participate in the IT Risk Committee
• Deliver quarterly independent IT Risk Assessments and targeted assessments to inform the Bank’s IT risk profile
• Provide Risk Management leadership across IT and Operational risks
• Assist with determining IT Risk Program strategy and focus areas
• Participation in mentorship programs to support colleague growth
