Job summary

Charles IT is seeking an IT Projects Engineer to join our Projects Team in Chesapeake, VA. You will lead technical projects for clients, act as hands-on engineer, and function as an escalation point while coordinating with clients, vendors, and internal teams to deliver solutions aligned with project goals.

The role emphasizes delivering successful outcomes, managing multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment, and maintaining clear documentation.

Qualifications

8+ years of experience preferred.
Certifications such as MCSA, VCP, CCNA are a plus.
Experience with platforms like ConnectWise, Cisco, Meraki, Datto, VMware, and Office 365 is a bonus.
Strong communications skills are essential for success in this role.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and collaborate in a fast-paced, client-focused team.
Self-driven and capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
Excellent organizational skills and strong attention to detail.

Responsibilities

Lead and execute technical projects for clients from kickoff through post go-live support.
Participate in project kickoff meetings to align on scope, timelines, and risks.
Complete tasks as outlined in client SOWs.
Provide post go-live support to stabilize environments.
Collaborate with vendors and co-managed teams to meet objectives.
Maintain documentation of systems, tools, and processes.
Communicate changes and project impacts to clients and teams.
Record time entries, expenses, and notes in ConnectWise.
Send weekly client-facing project status updates.
